Schedule
The Booming Bass project runs during Quarter 2 of the first year and combines structured sessions with independent teamwork. This section outlines when and where you work, what progress is expected, and how you can reach the teaching staff.
Sessions¶
Lab sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Tellegen Hall. Lab attendance is mandatory. The time slot depends on which mentor group you are in, and can be seen on your MyTUDelft timetable. Each group works in its assigned cubicle equipped with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, soldering stations, and a PC with LTspice installed.
On Tuesdays there are 2 hour lab sessions in the Tellegen Hall, and in some weeks a 2 hour mentor ship session in EWI rooms.
On Thursdays there are 4 hours of lab sessions in Tellegen Hall.
The total workload of the IP-1 project is 42 contact hours (Tuesdays and Thursdays) plus approximately 98 hours of self-study and preparation.
Proper preparation for each lab and meeting is essential. Review the manual and assignments beforehand, bring your calculations and simulations, and ensure your LTspice setup works. Preparation saves time and helps your team succeed.
Absence and Missed Work¶
Attendance is required for all contact hours. If you cannot attend due to illness or other valid reasons:
Inform your tutor and team as soon as possible.
Arrange to catch up on missed work.
Repeated absences may lead to exclusion from the project and delay your study progress.
